Associate Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development
Rachael Morris is a 4-H Extension Agent with Virgnia Cooperative Extension, serving youth and families since 2016.
In her current role, Rachael helps youth build life skills and confidence through hands-on learning experiences. She has a particular passion for teaching environmental science and supporting young people as they grow into independent, capable leaders. Her work has been recognized with the Distinguished Service Award from the Virginia Association of 4-H Extension Youth Development Professionals (VAE4-HYDP).
Previously, Rachael served as Lead Camp Counselor and Site Director for the Hampton YMCA's youth day camp and before/after school care programs. These experiences helped shape her approach to youth development through structured programming and mentorship. While in college, she alo participated in the VCE Summer Internship Program, working with 4-H agents over two summers.
Rachael earned her undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Leadership Studies for Christopher Newport University in 2014. She completed her Master's in Youth, Family, and Community Sciences from North Carolina State University in 2019. A proud 4-H alum from Prince Edward County, Virginia, she got her start as a 4-H Teen Leader, volunteering at camps and local events---planting the seeds for her career in youth development.
